Take Good Care: Mental Health First Aid is an initiative by Arkansas Blue Cross and Blue Shield to provide Mental Health First Aid training to Arkansans free of cost.
Course Description:
Through the Mental Health First Aid certification course, you will learn how to recognize signs of mental health or substance use challenges in adults ages 18 and older, how to offer and provide initial help, and how to guide a person toward appropriate care if necessary. Topics covered include anxiety, depression, psychosis, and addictions.
Classes will be held from 10 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Lunch and snacks will be provided. After completing your registration, an instructor will contact you to provide more details and class materials.

Materials, training and certification through the National Council for Mental Wellbeing are provided by Arkansas Blue Cross and Blue Shield at no cost to participants. We believe this is a great investment for a stronger Arkansas, your time will be well spent, and that you and those around you will benefit tremendously from this training. Class sizes are limited based on location. We ask that you make every effort to attend the class, due to demand. Please notify us if you must miss your class due to an emergency. You may be able to reschedule your attendance on a case-by-case basis with prior notification. Missing a class without notification could result in a requirement to reimburse for unused materials.
