25 and Clueless about Health Insurance?

Hey, if you’re 25 years old, you probably master social media and know where to find the best coffee and craft beer in town, but do you know about health insurance?

Don’t click away! Stay with us for a minute.

Under federal law, you can be on your parent’s health insurance plan until you turn 26 (that’s a good thing). Now for the kicker: If you are about to turn 26, you will soon age off your parent’s health coverage.

OK. Breathe. You’ve got this.

health insuranceLet’s chat about how you can get your own health insurance.

A few months before your 26th birthday, or by the end of that year depending on your coverage, we will send you a letter with instructions on your next steps. Don’t throw it away! (If you did trash it, give us a call and talk to a live person about your options.)

Depending on your family’s current coverage, you may have to act quickly to keep it, or you may choose a plan that fits your lifestyle better. Either way, we can help. The next move is yours.

Not having health insurance can hurt you in ways you never thought of (we just don’t know what we don’t know) emotionally, financially and physically. It can be a scary situation, and one we want to help you avoid.

We’d love to help. You can shop online. And although it’s old school, you can call and talk to a real person at 800-392-2583, or visit one of our ArkansasBlue locations in cities throughout Arkansas.

Your friends will be impressed. Look at you adult!
