Delivering quality healthcare requires hiring and retaining quality professionals looking to continue their education, both formally and informally. Three of our summer interns Guillermo Soto, Mark Kuykendall and Danielle Goode are or are planning to pursue master’s degrees, two of them interning in our human resources department this summer.
Guillermo is from Visalia, California and the son of Rosa Zamora and Guillermo Soto Sr.
Guillermo is working with Human Resources administration and hopes to achieve SHRM credentials and begin working toward his master’s degree in business administration at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. During his internship, he is researching historical data and market trends to develop PTO benefits plans.
“I’m grateful to be spending the summer with people who contribute so much of their time and efforts to the community, with ambitious and amazing fellow interns, and a company that focuses on trying to meet their needs.” he said.
He will be receiving his undergraduate degree from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and served in the United States Navy for 20 years beginning in 2000, retiring as a Chief Fire Controlman (E-7).
Mark Kuykendall, from Fort Smith, AR, and the son of Devon Adamson, is working in Compensation. He has worked as a Human Resources Assistant at the company since 2022 and plans to graduate next May with a master’s degree in business administration from Arkansas Tech University in Russellville.
“After graduation, I hope to pursue a career in a field I enjoy with a company that is supportive of their employees and community,” he said.
Danielle Goode is from Ventura, California. She is interning with the Workforce Planning department and will graduate in 2024 from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, majoring in management with a concentration in human resources. Danielle hopes to pursue a career in human resources management after completing her master’s degree in business administration.
