The Arkansas Blue Cross and Blue Shield board of directors has announced the election of Sheila Colclasure to the board, according to James V. Kelley, chairman of the board.
Colclasure serves as Global Chief Digital Responsibility and Public Policy Officer at Kinesso, the marketing engine of Interpublic Group, a global provider of marketing solutions. In her role, she leads global data policy and digital responsibility strategies.
“Sheila Colclasure brings years of experience to the board, both as a leader in digital technology and information security, and a thought leader and proponent for the ethical use of data,” said Kelley. “She will be an asset to Arkansas Blue Cross and its affiliate companies as healthcare analytics continues to grow in importance and we effectively manage large, diverse data sets, growing regulatory complexity, and technological innovations.”
Prior to joining Kinesso, Colclasure was Global Chief Data Ethics officer and Public Policy executive at Acxiom. She served as manager of Congressional and Political Affairs at the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants in Washington D.C., as well as staff assistant for the U.S. Senate.
Colclasure holds a master’s degree in communication, specializing in business and political communication. She is a Presidential Leadership Scholar, was named as one of the “12 Amazing Women in Security” by CSO, an organization focused on defending against cyberattacks, and is a frequent public speaker on applied data ethics, accountable data governance, and human-centered digital responsibility.
