Why Temuulen “Teka” Zolbayer Belongs At Blue

“Teamwork makes the dream work” may sound cliché, but for Temuulen “Teka” Zolbayer, “It is very relevant in my job.”

Teka joined Arkansas Blue Cross and Blue Shield as an associate Workday administrator almost two years ago, early on in the COVID-19 pandemic. He is now a supervisor for Workday HRIS. Despite starting his job remotely, he said, “the physical distance has not deterred my bond with my co-workers. What makes me log in every day is my team and the people I work with on a day-to-day basis. I gain valuable knowledge from them and enjoy building a closer bond.”

Teka’s first impression of Arkansas Blue Cross was that it was a “great organization that was well known for its contributions to the community and the development of its employees. My perspective has not changed. I am proud to be working for an organization that cares for the community, and it showed during the tough pandemic times.”

While Teka’s role is challenging, he sees it as rewarding. “The types of tasks I encounter allow me to learn and add new skills to my craft. The best feeling is finding solutions to complicated problems!”

If Teka’s best friend was considering applying to Arkansas Blue Cross, he would tell them about the benefits available, like the tuition reimbursement program. “This program helped me complete my master’s degree and truly shows that the leaders emphasize employee development.”

Diversity and inclusion are evident at Arkansas Blue Cross. “Since I’ve joined, there have been many initiatives for diversity and inclusion. I believe the organization is headed in the right direction and will continue to lead in this topic. I do feel welcomed and included. The growth opportunities have been great. The company has supported my postgraduate studies and training to enhance my career.”

Arkansas Blue Cross has been named one of central Arkansas’ “Top Work Places” by the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette and has earned a top ranking in the large business category multiple times since 2012. Forbes Magazine has also named the company among the Nation’s Best Employers of 2022.

Along with tuition reimbursement, full-time Arkansas Blue Cross employees enjoy other benefits, like wellness education and exercise incentives, an in-house restaurant with a health-focused menu, and on-site gyms and workout spaces.

Arkansas Blue Cross employees care about their community and work together to help others. If you see a group of Blue T-shirts at an event, you are probably seeing our Blue team! And whether it’s within our state or around the world, Arkansas Blue Cross employees volunteer when disasters strike. It’s just another way we show that Blue cares.
